Artist Spotlight: Tattoo Artist Edwin Oquendo

It’s a whole new month, which means it’s time for another Artist Spotlight! This month we’re featuring Edwin Oquendo, a talented tattoo artist from Long Island, New York that specializes in photorealism.

Edwin Oquendo currently works out of Lone Wolf Tattoo in Bellmore, New York where he draws and tattoos people all day long. Here are some of the pieces done by Edwin;

I absolutely love the photorealism pieces he does. My favorite tattoo from above is definitely the patriotic sleeve because of the incredible detail and composition on the arm. The soldier with the spear is a close second because of the insane perception of depth. Speaking with Edwin Oquendo I asked him how he got into the business here is what he told me;

I’ve always had a passion for art. I love drawing and painting and wanted a way to maintain a living by doing what I love and what makes me happy in life. I love the idea of permanently marking someone for life with beautiful artwork. It lives on forever.Edwin Oquendo

I love seeing artists that are passionate about their work! If you’d like to contact Edwin Oquendo about booking a session you can find him on Instagram or hit his email!

    Edwin Oquendo is such a talented artist!! He did my sleeve on my left arm and did a beautiful tattoo on my back honoring my mom who I lost on November 11, 2013 from brain cancer. Edwin is also one of the coolest, most down to earth guy that I have ever met!! So glad to see that that his talent is acknowledged in your article! !!
