Since this past June (fine, May 31st to be exact) my various friends and I have been creating content as our way to give back to the creative community. We’ve taken time out of our busy schedules to create content for no other reason than to benefit our community. The plan for ThinkDope in 2015 is to continue to put out great content and help inspire new art to be made through our 1 year anniversary.
In addition to the great content we provided almost daily we also ran a huge FL Studio giveaway, interviewed a major label artist, exclusively launched a mixtape, and invaded A3C while sponsoring a showcase.
What Will Change?
Virtually nothing, except for new great content! Yes, there will be some minor changes we will get into below, but we will continue to provide our content for free without banner ads. We’re in it for the love of art and intentions to help grow the community! We will continue to occasionally make sponsored posts (always genuinely approved) in order to support the site’s hosting and costs.
It is with sadness that I announce the departure of our own Ken Walsh. Unfortunately his schedule is a bit too hectic to contribute content and he would rather the site benefit from not having to rely on him. His articles will remain up and available for all to enjoy – and who knows, he may come back in the future.
Our drawing goddess Juelz will be taking a new position at ThinkDope as our talent scout. In addition to submissions, Juelz will be scouring the Internet for awesome artists we can feature.
Lastly I’m so proud to announce our newest addition to the team, Royce Williams. We’ve actually featured his work back in the beginning and couldn’t be happier that he will be sharing his expertise for our readers. Welcome to the team!
You may have noticed I began testing schedules in November and December in terms of post frequency. The schedule we will continue with is a minimum of 2-3 original posts a week, inspirational quotes on other days, monthly roundups, and frequent special/guest features!
I’d like to personally thank our loyal readers, my team, our features, and anyone who has even visited our website once. Thanks for the continued support. I’m proud of what we have created and hope to build more throughout the new year. Regular content will resume tomorrow. Happy 2015!
